Duncan Nugget® #367: Haterism
I just finished reading this article Why Do People Hate on Young Entrepreneurs? and it reminded me of the following nugget.
Duncan Nugget® #367:
Haterism is an excuse. It gives people a chance to justify their bitterness and mediocrity.
“If I only had this…”
“If only my parents did this…”
“If only my life was like this…”
Garbage.
If you only had no haterism and made no excuses you would be headed towards success. Then you would be on the other side of the fence and…
Somebody would be hating on you.
Think about that.
Million-Dollar Question:
Are you allowing haterism to keep you stuck in mud of mediocrity?
Duncan Nugget® #360: Your Own Business Equals Free Time?
Somebody just told me he wanted to start his own business so that he could have more free time. HA!!! Boy is he gonna be surprised. LOL. Time is never free and with any business, it takes a few years before you have some to spare.
You make a living from 9 to 5. You make a fortune from 5 to 9.
Think about that…or you might miss it.
Million-Dollar Question:
Do you really think owning your own business equals more free time?
Duncan Nugget® #104: An Irresistible Reason
When it comes to motivation there’s the Push Principle and the Pull Principle.
Push comes from willpower or someone forcing you to act. Pull comes from someone persuading you to act or an irresistible reason.
Force, willpower, and persuasion can be extremely powerful, but they ebb and flow like the tide. An irresistible reason is…irresistible. It gets you moving when you don’t feel like moving because…it’s irresistible.
Million-Dollar Question:
What is the irresistible reason that pulls you to your success?

[VIDEO] Duncan Nugget® #206: Change and Improvement
Change is inevitable. Improvement is a choice.
Think about it. Improvement can only happen with change, but change doesn’t guarantee improvement. Improvement starts with having the diligence and wisdom to put forth the right effort at the right time.
By the way, if you think things will improve on the outside without making some improvements on the inside, you are confused.
SELF-improvement is a vital component of life improvement.
People say things like, “It’s time for a change.”
No.
It’s time for some improvement.
Changing jobs or going to a new school; moving to a new city or starting a new relationship might might seem like great ideas, but not if you continue to be the same old person with the same old bad habits, negative emotions, and limiting beliefs.
Million-Dollar Question:
As things continue to change,
how do you plan to improve?
Duncan Nugget® #178: They Say It, But They Don’t Live It
They say “I want financial independence” but, they don’t live financial responsibility.
They say “I’m a christian” or “I’m a Muslim” or whatever religion but, they don’t live the true principles.
They say “I want a good man or woman” but, a lot of times they don’t live the life of a good man or woman.
They say “I want to be successful” but, they don’t live a life based on success principles and service. They don’t grind.
A lot of people say it, but…most don’t live it.
Million-Dollar Question:
Do you live what you say?

Duncan Nugget® #145: The New “Average”
How was the food? It was good.
How was the movie? It was good.
Can she sing? She’s good.
Nowadays, good is not good enough.
Have you noticed that when people are truly impressed and they really like something they use words other than “good”? They say things like “really good”, “soooo good”, great, incredible, hot, amazing, exceptional, “wow” and of course, awesome! Sometimes they make up words and phrases.
How was the movie? Oh my God! It was like totally awesome.
Can she sing? She ain’t no joke. She got mad skills.
How was the food? It was Fi! (That’s how young people in Atlanta say that something is “fire”, which means “awesome”.)
In order to build a durable, competitive advantage you need to be more than good. You want to be exceptional.
Good is the new “average”.
Million-Dollar Question:
What are you doing to be better than “good”?
Duncan Nugget® #72: How Do You Define Yourself?
People act consistent with who they believe they are.
THINK about that.
If you define yourself as being exceptional then you act like it. If your self-definition is based on mediocrity then you act like it.
Exceptional individuals live in high definition. They have an accurate, internal picture of who they are and what their purpose is.
An inaccurate self-definition will eventually lead to self-sabotage.
When you’re confused about your behavior, figuring out your self-definition will help you pinpoint the cause and make sense of what’s going on. It’s hard to make lasting, positive changes and maximize potential when you don’t have a clear understanding of how you define you.
Million-Dollar Question:
How do you truly define yourself
and who or what influenced your definition?
