Chillaxation
So, how’s it going this week? Busy as usual? All kinds of stuff driving you nuts as usual?
Okay. Here’s the deal. It’s time for your one minute of chillaxation. (Translation: chill + relaxation)
Duncan Nugget® #363 :
Relaxation is vital to high productivity and stress management.
I take one minute out of every hour that I’m working to chillax. C’mon now! You deserve one minute out of an hour, don’t you?
ONE MINUTE.
Is it really going to hurt you to stop what you’re doing for one tiny minute? Let me answer that for you. NO. I bet you daydream longer than that.
How many hours do you spend in class, study or work everyday? Eight? Ten or twelve? More than that? That’s around 720 minutes or more.
From now on at least one minute out of every hour is yours.
Stop whatever you’re doing. Close your office door. Close your room door. Go outside, go to the bathroom, or just close your eyes and stay where you are.
Take a deep breath and hold it for 10 seconds. Then exhale for ten seconds. That’s 20 seconds. Do this three times and there’s your minute of chillaxation.
During this moment you will only be imagining a completely relaxing scenario for you.
Getting a massage, chillin’ on the beach, fishing, curled up reading a good book, or some good old-fashioned, couch-potato-TV-watching-napping-on-and-off, on a lazy afternoon. Or whatever tickles your fancy.
Go ahead and do it right now. Everything else can wait for one minute.
Take your minute.
Million-Dollar Question:
When are you going to take a minute to chillax?
