Power Over Prejudice Day – St. Martin’s Episcopal School
St. Martin’s held the 3rd annual Power Over Prejudice Day on March 23. Middle School POP ambassadors hosted the day, leading a morning assembly and various activities in classrooms. Motivational speaker and author Al Duncan spoke at the assembly, reminding students that “even if someone says something bad about you, you still have value.” He encouraged students to see the value in others.
At the end of the day, Middle School students watched the film “Paper Clips,” which documents the four-year project of Whitwell Middle School in Tennessee to teach a lesson about tolerance and collect 6 million paper clips representing all those killed during the Holocaust.
