[VIDEO] Duncan Nugget® #32: Slippery Things
Imagine if you had a million dollars, but you forgot where you put it and no matter how hard you tried to remember where you left it, you couldn’t find it.
I know…you would never do that, right? But what if you did? How mad would you be?
Most people lose or forget at least one priceless thought or million-dollar idea every week. Sometimes, they don’t even remember that they can’t remember. Think about that. It could be something someone said to you or an idea that came to you while you in the middle of something else . Either way…
Thoughts and ideas can be extremely slippery.
Always keep a note pad or digital recorder with you—or use your smartphone—to capture priceless thoughts and million-dollar ideas before they slip away.
And then…do something with them!
Million-Dollar Question:
Aren’t you tired of watching other people get paid off of a million-dollar idea that you let slip away?

Duncan Nugget® #367: Haterism
I just finished reading this article Why Do People Hate on Young Entrepreneurs? and it reminded me of the following nugget.
Duncan Nugget® #367:
Haterism is an excuse. It gives people a chance to justify their bitterness and mediocrity.
“If I only had this…”
“If only my parents did this…”
“If only my life was like this…”
Garbage.
If you only had no haterism and made no excuses you would be headed towards success. Then you would be on the other side of the fence and…
Somebody would be hating on you.
Think about that.
Million-Dollar Question:
Are you allowing haterism to keep you stuck in mud of mediocrity?
Duncan Nugget® #360: Your Own Business Equals Free Time?
Somebody just told me he wanted to start his own business so that he could have more free time. HA!!! Boy is he gonna be surprised. LOL. Time is never free and with any business, it takes a few years before you have some to spare.
You make a living from 9 to 5. You make a fortune from 5 to 9.
Think about that…or you might miss it.
Million-Dollar Question:
Do you really think owning your own business equals more free time?
Duncan Nugget® #104: An Irresistible Reason
When it comes to motivation there’s the Push Principle and the Pull Principle.
Push comes from willpower or someone forcing you to act. Pull comes from someone persuading you to act or an irresistible reason.
Force, willpower, and persuasion can be extremely powerful, but they ebb and flow like the tide. An irresistible reason is…irresistible. It gets you moving when you don’t feel like moving because…it’s irresistible.
Million-Dollar Question:
What is the irresistible reason that pulls you to your success?

[VIDEO] Duncan Nugget® #350: What You Don’t Want
Your mind cannot directly process a negative.
When told not to do something, your mind has to picture doing it first before it can process not doing it. I’ll prove it to you.
Don’t think about your favorite color.
Don’t think about relaxing on the beach on a perfect day.
Don’t think about a pink elephant with blue polka dots and green wings.
Do you see what just happened? Even if it was only for a split second, you thought about each of those things because your mind processes information using images.
Since your unconscious mind does not distinguish between reality and imagination, if you are thinking “I don’t want to fail this test” then you briefly experience failing the test. Not cool.
Work on telling yourself (and other people) what you DO want.
Million-Dollar Question:
Are you focused on what you don’t want or what you DO want?
______________________
ACTION STEPS & DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
1. “I don’t want to fail this test” is an example of a goal that is focused on what you don’t want. Write this goal in positive terms so that it is focused on what you do want.
2. Write down 3 of your goals. Look carefully at the language you used to write them. Are you using positive or negative language? If any of your goals are written in negative terms, rewrite them in positive language that focuses on what you want.
3. What are some of the reasons and/or excuses that cause many people focus on what they don’t want? How do you or will you keep those reasons/excuses from having the same effect on you?

Duncan Nugget® #59: From Wanting to Having
People spend a good deal of time—especially around the beginning of a new year—writing and talking about what they want. I guess that’s called goal-setting (wanting), but it’s not goal achievement (having).
